Novigrad is a small town situated on the west coast of Istrian peninsula. It is an old town which up to today has conserved its medieval structure thanks to well preserved city walls, narrow streets and several buildings dating back from the time of the Venetian empire. Also, Novigrad has kept its charm of a fishing town and its fishing boats are moored in the town harbor. There is also a seaside promenade that runs along the coast to the Novigrad marina which is, thanks to advantageous geographical position, one of the most sheltered marinas in the Adriatic. Although being one of the smallest resorts in Istria, it still has plenty of great places to eat and here you can find one of the best seafood restaurants in Istria. If you want to experience swimming on a typical Istrian beach, then Novigrad is a perfect place for it. There is a beach out of the town walls, but it is not a typical sandy beach, moreover it is concrete like many others in Istria. Since being smaller than neighboring towns and often overlooked by the tourists, prices in Novigrad are lower than in nearby Rovinj or Porec but the offer is as rich as there.
