Omis is a smaller medieval town and harbor. It is located only 29 km south from Split and 37 km north from town Makarska. Omis is a town on the Adriatic Sea and on the mouth of river Cetina. Numerous beaches and bays, Mediterranean plants, rich culture and gastronomy, fresh air, beautiful river Cetina and the canyon, mountains Dinara, Mosor and Babnjaca, numerous sport activities (free climbing, rafting, hiking…) are only a part of what Omis has to offer.Evidence of proud and turbulent history can be seen at every step of Omis Riviera - the ancient town of Omis, churches and castles.
