KOTOR (Me)
Kotor is one of the coastal towns in Montenegro situated on the foothill of mountain Lovcen and in a very end of the lovely Kotor Bay. It is easy reachable from all parts of Europe and the rest of the world due to its good traffic connections. There are two airports in Montenegro: Podgorica and Tivat, but Kotor, as all other destinations in Montenegro, are placed near the border with Croatia and the Dubrovnik airport Cilipi. The airport Cilipi has also regular flights to and from Europe, especially during high season, and there are also bus lines that will take you from the airport directly to your destination in Montenegro. The city Kotor itself is situated at about 60 km and 33.1 nautical miles away from Dubrovnik and it is the ideal starting point for sailing and discovering both Montenegro and Croatia, especially south Dalmatia, its coastal towns and islands. Marina Kotor is located at the south part of Kotor Bay and it is well sheltered from waves (north wind – bura and south wind - jugo can blow up to gale force). Close to the marina are the gas station, harbor authorities and border crossing. Depth varies from 6m at the northern part of the marina up to 2 m at the southern part. North part is therefore for mega yachts and south part is for sailing boats and smaller motor boats. All berths have electricity and water connections and marina provides service and repairs as well as maintenance.
