TIVAT (Me)
Tivat is a coastal town in southwest part of Montenegro, located in bay of Kotor. Its coastline has many beaches and small islets like Sv. Marko, Ostrvo Cveca... Town is connected to rest of Montenegro with Adriatic Highway and has the biggest airport in country that lies only 3 km away and it is well equipped to receive big groups of guests, which fly in with regular or charter flights and arrive from all around the world. The second airport in Montenegro, Podgorica, is situated at 84 km from Tivat, and the airport of Dubrovnik – Cilipi (in Croatia) is only 44 km away. The airport Cilipi has also regular flights to and from Europe, especially during high season, and there are also bus lines that will take you from this airport directly to your destination in Montenegro.
Although the youngest town on the Montenegrin coast, Tivat and its surroundings are a popular tourist destination. Recently, yachtsmen and sailing enthusiasts have raised the interest for Tivat and Kotor area expecting the announced building of new marina with additional berths and marina services - Porto Montenegro in Tivat. The marina in Tivat is the ideal starting base to discover Montenegro and its coast, but also to sail in Croatian waters and to discover the beauties of South Dalmatia, its hidden bays, islands and islets.
