VODICE
Vodice is a tourist centre famous for its lively and various tourist offers. It is a coastal town located in a wide bay, only 11 km northwest from the town Sibenik. There are good links with the whole of Europe from Zadar and Split International Airports (Zadar-Vodice is 45 km; Split - Vodice is 70 km). Zadar has a ferry link with Ancona, and Split has a ferry link with Ancona and Pescara, and via Dubrovnik with Bari.
50 years ago the citizens of Vodice were mostly farmers oriented towards the land than fishermen or seamen. Nowadays they are completely oriented towards the sea. They preserve their traditions, and their guests enjoy this happy combination. Vodice is one of the ten biggest tourist centers on the Croatian Adriatic Sea. There are numerous family pensions, apartments and rooms, holiday resorts, camping places and the ACl marine, outfitted up- to-date and situated in the centre of town. Long gravel and sand beaches are in the west and in the east of the town. Vodice has developed cultural and entertaining life and numerous trip arrangements, recreation and sport activities that make the tourist offer outstanding and of very high quality. Vodice is considered an ideal place for vacation and a great base to start the sailing trip to nearby islands.
ACI marina Vodice is situated in the north-east part of port (Vrulje Cove) and is protected by two seawalls. It is opened all year round. There are 320 berths in the sea and 80 land berths. All are supplied with water and power.
The marina can be reached by the road from the town centre. It has a reception, exchange office, restaurant, sanitary facilities (WC & showers), laundry, repair/servicing workshop, 10 t crane, 40 t travel lift, slipway and a parking lot. A fuel station is located beyond the breakwater protecting the marina from southerly winds.
