KASTELA
Marina Kastela, in Kastel Gomilica near Split is one of the newest Croatian marinas. It is protected by mountain Kozjak from the north but it’s general position between two towns – Split and Trogir make the marina one of the preferred one in case you are planning to visit Central Dalmatian zone with its numerous islands. As it is only 7 km from Split international airport which is the biggest one on Croatian coast, this marina is perfect if you would like to avoid travelling long distance from the airport to the yacht you are chartering. The marina itself has 420 berths with electricity connections and water tap (depth from 2.5 to 8 meters - 8 to 26 feet inside the marina). It is a safe harbor for private and charter operated yachts with the standard amenities but also a great spot if you would like to get away from the season’s crowds in Split and Trogir which are the closest two tourist and charter centers. As in most other marinas, marina Kastela provides the services of boat repair, maintenance and dry berths.
The name of the marina is derived from the town of Kastela, situated in Kastela Bay that is well known from its numerous medieval castles situated in 7 different settlements. Along with couple of parks, museums and galleries close to the marina, there are also numerous hotels, villas, private accommodation and various restaurants all over Kastela that can make you stay in marina Kastela more interesting.
