BIOGRAD
Once the crown city of Croatian kings today Biograd is a well-known tourist and nautical centre. The town lies on a peninsula surrounded by modern marinas and a promenade with a great view of the Pasman Canal and the islands nearby. Biograd is located in the middle of the Adriatic coast very close to the Kornati Archipelago and Lake Vrana. It is also surrounded by National Parks (Krka and Kornati) and 2 Nature Parks and so it's no wonder that it has a long tourist tradition as a destination for an interesting and dynamic vacation. Zadar airport is the closest one (26 km), but numerous guests also arrive at Split airport (111 km). Biograd's intercity bus station is one of the busiest in Zadar area as well.
The town has beautiful marinas to start a charter holiday. The biggest is marina „Kornati“ (one of „top 3“ Croatian marinas) which is situated in a bay in the middle of the town so the guests can use all conveniences of a modern tourist resort. Marina provides more than 700 berths and the complete technical infrastructure. The other marina is marina „Sangulin“ with 200 berths. It is situated at the very entrance to the Kornati National Park in the bay of the peninsula of the city itself, protected from all winds. Because of the proximity to the Kornati National Park and because of its position in the centre of the Adriatic Sea, Biograd is always a great starting point for cruises in all directions.
