BASKA VODA
Baska Voda is a pleasant holiday resort known for clean and warm seawater and an excellent position in mid - Dalmatia. It is situated south of Split, close to town Makarska at the foot of Mt. Biokovo with distances of 50 km from Split, 170 km from Dubrovnik and 70 km from Medjugorje (Bosnia & Herzegovina).
The village has a great promenade with gravel beaches and pine groves and a great number of tourist capacities (hotels, private accommodation, camps). The area is one of the sunniest parts of Mediterranean with approx. 2700 sunny hours a year. During a year time Baska Voda has 40 days with temperatures higher than 30 C°. During spring and summer the most characteristic wind blowing is maestral, which brings cool and fresh breeze from the sea. At night there's "burin" (light breeze) and both of these winds are making Baska Voda perfect as starting point for sailing holidays but also many daily boat excursions to nearby islands of middle and south Dalmatia.
